EXHIBIT 91 / LOOKBOOK
My lookbook was shot in a traditional Soviet-era style apartment downtown Sofia, Bulgaria. The concept of the photoshoot was to depict the femininity of the Eastern European women that goes by the idea of "being soft is to be powerful". She is brave as a worrier but soft like a flower. She is on a par with men but she never looses her femininity.
Since the color board for the collection was inspired by the Soviet "Innerness", the garments matched perfectly the colors and the worm feeling of the apartment. Colors, wood, brocade, glassware and worm natural light all together made this infusion of emotions that boost the idea behind the concept. I believe the garments "fit" their purpose with this photoshoot, the message was sent.

EXHIBIT 91 / PORTFOLIO
My graduation collection concept examines the "shared memory" that mid 80s and 90s generation experienced, growing up in countries part of the Eastern Block. The focus of the collection is on the collective "we" and the architecture as a living archetype of the Soviet space. The reason of my collection is to put more light on that part of the world labeled as "Eastern" Europe, but not as a geographical term but as a bad place that has been demonized throughout the years. The collection's objective is to provoke people's attention to this part of Europe that has been isolated from the west and to present a side of Eastern Europe worth seeing and understanding.
